Stories the Mainstream Media Won’t Tell

For all the attention the mainstream media (MSM) give to poor and desperate people who are here illegally, who just want a better life for themselves and their families, I get that. Their stories are sometimes intriguing, heart-breaking and sell copy. There are stories, however, that the MSM won’t touch. They have to do with the real victims – those who have died at the hands of illegal aliens.

For too many years those stories have been overlooked and ignored in favor of ones that focus on families being broken up because of deportation orders. In an effort to elicit pity and gain political power, the left routinely parade out “dreamers,” those who were brought here through no fault of their own. But now things are changing. Finally we have a president who cares about the real issues as regard illegal immigration.

At a rally early on in his run for president, Donald Trump met with and brought out before the media several relatives of some of the victims of illegal immigration. They may not have too many stories written about them but their memories are kept alive by an organization called The Remembrance Project. Some of those victims include:

Jamiel Shaw II, who had his whole life ahead of him. A high school football star on his way to college and possibly the NFL, his future looked quite bright until it was cut short by an illegal alien just released from jail the day before.
Ruben Morfin, a 13-year old boy who was killed by an illegal alien gang member who asked him what he was (i.e. what gang is he in). When Ruben answered he was an American, he was shot in the head.
Eric Haydu Zepeda, a 22-year old who, while riding his motorcycle, was hit by an illegal alien from Guatemala who had two felony DUI convictions. He was in a coma for four weeks before being taken off life support.
Drew Rosenberg, 23, hit by an illegal alien at a slow speed while riding his motorcycle. As the illegal alien tried to flee the scene he ran over Drew twice.
Dominic Durden, 30, died at the hands of an unlicensed and uninsured illegal alien in 2012. Dominic was a 9-1-1 dispatcher for the Riverside Sheriff Department (in California) and well-liked among his friends, peers and co-workers.
Kate Steinle, killed on Pier 14 in San Francisco (a sanctuary city) by an illegal alien who had been previously deported five times. At 32 she had her whole life ahead of her.

There’s a reason we have immigration laws. It’s not to keep foreigners out. It’s not to keep people of certain colors, races or religions out. It’s to keep criminals and those who would do us harm out. It’s about our nation’s security and sovereignty. The reason we want secured borders is not to discriminate but to protect Americans.

If someone truly wants to become an American citizen and learn to speak, read, write and comprehend the English language at a basic level, I’m all for it. If that person wants to contribute to the American economic system and pay taxes every other American pays, or even start a business and provide employment for other American citizens, even better. Most Americans welcome that in an immigrant. The desire to achieve the American Dream is what has fueled the passion for those who’ve been coming here for centuries. There is a proper procedure, though, for immigrating here.

With President Trump continuing to keep his campaign promises, securing our borders and enforcing our immigration laws can finally become a reality.

The Ongoing Effort to Delegitimize President Trump

When Barack Obama became President-elect in 2008 Americans were reasonably upset for a number of reasons, especially for his plans to widely redistribute the wealth created and earned by hard-working individuals, not the federal government. As a result, the TEA Party was formed to fight Obama’s and the left’s agenda.

Contrast that to what President Trump has had to deal with. From the day he announced his candidacy for president in 2015 there have been endless protests. They have been about anything from illegal immigration to the so-called “war on women.” With the help of the mainstream media (MSM) and Hollywood liberals, these protests represent an ongoing effort to delegitimize President Trump.

Protests on the left, many funded by George Soros, have at times become very riotous and violent. Police forces and even the National Guard have been summoned to handle crowds and enforce law and order which many times results in arrests. Looting and destruction leaves cities and towns in total and costly disarray.

Now contrast that to the rallies TEA Party groups held. They were organized and peaceful, although the MSM reported falsely about them and chose to focus on that one fringe person, or the plant, who attended in order be disruptive and cast the TEA Party in a negative light. Another thing the MSM didn’t report on is the fact that TEA Party rally sites were left in a cleaner state than they were before the events started.

This is partly what is meant by fake news. The MSM is very good at hyping up their non-substantial stories in order to incite the public into turning against Trump. Their objective has been to castigate people on the right, whether a pundit, politician or preacher, in a negative light. That’s how they indoctrinate the public who know no better. It’s like a public school teacher teaching children Democrats=Good, Republicans=Bad.

This indoctrination is prevalent in network newscasts, movies, television shows and has even worked its way into sports broadcasting. We’re constantly fed this claptrap, subliminally or blatantly, that the right wants to make your life miserable, while the left is so honorable and cares so much for the people…and the children, and the homeless, and the “undocumented immigrants,” and the refugees, and women, and on and on and on.

It’s simply not true. The right wants all Americans to be treated equally, fairly, and have the same opportunities so that people can make the most out of their lives and be successful. The left would have you believe the opposite and since they control the MSM it’s how they seek to achieve their objective of delegitimizing Trump’s presidency.

It’s Not a Muslim Ban, It’s a Terrorist Ban

When President Trump signed an executive order temporarily halting immigration from countries that are on the list of terror-sponsoring countries, it didn’t distinguish them as countries that are Muslim. It highlighted them as countries that are sponsors of terror. Incidentally, these same countries were originally identified by the Obama administration as “countries of concern.” The mainstream media (MSM), however, want everyone to think Trump has enacted a “ban on Muslims” coming into this country. This is another instance of fake news the MSM engages in.

Why is it so difficult for people to understand the threat of terror? It is real. Allowing people from Syria, for example, to come into this country, without being vetted, is extremely dangerous and is putting Americans in harm’s way, given the turmoil their country currently is embroiled in. There’s no benefit of the doubt that should be given in this case. It would be highly irresponsible to ignore this very real and present danger.

It’s obvious that Hollywood liberals don’t understand this, but unfortunately many Americans listen to them and take what they say to heart. Liberals in Hollywood and the liberal news media, from which many people get their news, help to incite the protests which turn into riots. The protestors and rioters really need to be educated by the learned, not indoctrinated by the MSM.

No one is placing a ban on Muslims coming into this country; the Trump administration is safeguarding against terrorists sneaking into this country and endangering Americans. Surely there is a distinction between law-abiding Muslims living harmoniously with fellow Americans and terrorists committing horrible acts under the name of Islam, the Muslim religion.

There needs to be an open, honest and organized discussion about Islam and parties on both sides need to be allowed to voice their concerns. Ultimately, the facts need to be presented in a clear and concise way. We need to address what the Koran says about committing violence toward infidels and find out how law-abiding and practicing Muslims feel about it. Is that too much to ask?
