It’s Not a Muslim Ban, It’s a Terrorist Ban

When President Trump signed an executive order temporarily halting immigration from countries that are on the list of terror-sponsoring countries, it didn’t distinguish them as countries that are Muslim. It highlighted them as countries that are sponsors of terror. Incidentally, these same countries were originally identified by the Obama administration as “countries of concern.” The mainstream media (MSM), however, want everyone to think Trump has enacted a “ban on Muslims” coming into this country. This is another instance of fake news the MSM engages in.

Why is it so difficult for people to understand the threat of terror? It is real. Allowing people from Syria, for example, to come into this country, without being vetted, is extremely dangerous and is putting Americans in harm’s way, given the turmoil their country currently is embroiled in. There’s no benefit of the doubt that should be given in this case. It would be highly irresponsible to ignore this very real and present danger.

It’s obvious that Hollywood liberals don’t understand this, but unfortunately many Americans listen to them and take what they say to heart. Liberals in Hollywood and the liberal news media, from which many people get their news, help to incite the protests which turn into riots. The protestors and rioters really need to be educated by the learned, not indoctrinated by the MSM.

No one is placing a ban on Muslims coming into this country; the Trump administration is safeguarding against terrorists sneaking into this country and endangering Americans. Surely there is a distinction between law-abiding Muslims living harmoniously with fellow Americans and terrorists committing horrible acts under the name of Islam, the Muslim religion.

There needs to be an open, honest and organized discussion about Islam and parties on both sides need to be allowed to voice their concerns. Ultimately, the facts need to be presented in a clear and concise way. We need to address what the Koran says about committing violence toward infidels and find out how law-abiding and practicing Muslims feel about it. Is that too much to ask?

A Necessary Precaution Not Popular Among the Left

With the recent changing of the guard, as it were, there seems to be a trend in trying to undermine, malign and marginalize the new president, Donald Trump. Because he has the temerity to make necessary changes aimed at both undoing the unconstitutional executive actions of Barack Hussein Obama and protecting the American people, he gets ridiculed. There are some who ignore reality in favor of being loyal to the opposition party. There are also the clueless bandwagon jumpers-on.

One of Trump’s recent actions was signing an order temporarily halting immigration from seven predominately Muslim countries where radical Islamic jihadists (RIJ) reside. They include Iraq, Syria, Iran, Sudan, Libya, Somalia and Yemen. To be sure, the leftist media, Hollywood liberals and Democrat politicians had temper-tantrums and some became melodramatically emotional, like Senator Chuck Schumer of New York. But they can have their pity fits, this is a necessary precaution. We live in a different time and place in 2017 and we must take every step to keep RIJs out of our country. Liberals don’t seem to understand this, however. They are either blind, ignorant or both, or are willfully trying to stifle liberty and freedom.

To open the border and just allow non-vetted immigrants into the country, knowing full well the likelihood that terrorism will occur in the United States as a result, is the height of stupidity.

There are many justifiable reasons to halt immigration into this country, the number one being to protect Americans from terrorism. RIJs have already infiltrated the United States. In 2009, for example, United States Army Major Nidal Hassan murdered 13 people and injured 30 others in what’s known as the Ft. Hood massacre. In 2015 terrorist immigrant Syed Farook and his terrorist immigrant wife Tashfeen Malik shot up a holiday office party in San Bernardino, California. In 2016 a RIJ went on a terror spree at the Pulse nightclub in Orlando, Florida while he declared his allegiance to ISIS. There are myriad other examples. This executive order is not racist, xenophobic or hateful. To insist otherwise is simply ignorant.

Unfortunately, pundits and politicians alike are eager to chime in on matters they know nothing about. Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, for instance, announced that immigrant “refugees” are welcome in his country. That means that we’ll need to build a wall on the northern border as well as the southern border.

Read Between the Platitudes

At a White House summit on Wednesday, February 18, 2015 designed to address issues of countering violent extremism, one would have thought Obama’s hand was forced. Finally, he’ll have to openly deal with this very obvious problem. He can’t escape the blaring fact that ISIS is a threat as well as Al Qaeda, Hamas, Hezbollah, the Muslim Brotherhood and others that have the same common denominator – they are all radical Islamists. But Obama couldn’t muster up the will to say it. It begs the obvious question.

In his address, which was a cross between a campaign speech and a lecture, Obama managed to dodge what was supposed to be the whole point of the dog and pony show, I mean summit: countering extremism. He instead turned it around and focused his comments on racial hatred and discrimination against the Muslim community. Are you kidding me? There is no great epidemic of discriminating against Muslims. Where does he get that?

Well, he manufactures it. Since he cannot bring himself to confront the ugly truth, that radical Islam is at war with the West, he re-directs the conversation into this supposed widespread racial discrimination of Muslims. So by stifling any discussion of real world problems, the kind where ISIS et al rape, torture, traffic, behead, burn and kill Christians, Jews and anyone else who is not on their side, Obama is able to escape an obviously uncomfortable topic.

From any other president it would be surprising, except with Obama, it is expected. He has not been able to admit what the real problem is. As Greg Gutfeld explained on FOX News’ political talk show The Five, which aired that same day, “He’s a terrorism denier.”

That is, in fact, what he is.

Obama managed to insult most Americans, as if we’re the problem and others we are at war with are victims. Clearly, as a United States president, his speech was the opposite of what it should have been. And with an audience most likely stacked with his own hand-picked supporters, there were countless interruptions of mindless applause.

But did anyone expect anything different? As Obama usually does with his speeches and addresses, he peppered this one with just enough platitudes to make those who don’t know better feel good. To the average American, I suppose, it sounds inspirational. But for a speech designed to address countering extremism, he admonished those who are genuinely fearful and concerned with the threat of radical jihad here in America and abroad.

When does it become necessary for our Armed Forces to intercede and remove him from the responsibility of President of the United States? I realize it would set off a firestorm, but I also know that what has been happening is so treasonous that it warrants expulsion from office.

Congress has been of no help. In fact, calling Obama out for his dereliction of duty has been one of its key failures. They have neither the leadership nor the desire to do what they are sworn to do. They haven’t even entertained the idea that in order to reverse the destruction he has already done to our country they need to act. It will take a special kind of courage, which few members of Congress have. Surely they would have to withstand the scourge of hate and vitriol the left is going to spew. And of course the left will try to turn the argument around.

Yes, the leftist media and liberal organizations have a habit of taking incidents that look bad for them and reversing the facts to make it look as if extreme right wing ideology is to blame. It’s called projection. Because the facts don’t fit their version of the story, they just make up their own and guess what? People, mindless people, mind you, believe them because these mindless people are too lazy to find out the real story for themselves. Obama employs this tactic quite often. It’s how he got elected and how he continues to deceive people.

The Real Pre-Game Entertainment: O’Reilly’s Interview with Obama

I normally don’t like to watch Fox News Channel’s Bill O’Reilly, because he doesn’t always get it right, according to most of the American people. But in an interview he had with Obama, aired on the day of the 2014 Super Bowl, he did quite well.

O’Reilly quickly gets the disingenuous formalities out of the way by thanking Obama for “doing this” interview. Obama disingenuously replies “Great to be with you.” Somehow I get the sense that it’s not really great for Obama to be with O’Reilly, knowing that he’s going to be grilled for the next ten minutes.

Right out of the gate O’Reilly brings up the healthcare debacle, erroneously titled the Affordable Care Act, and better known as Obamacare, and sets up his first question. Upon the October 1st rollout of the law, there were problems with the computers. (Actually the problem he was referring to was the massive amount of confusion people had getting onto the healthcare.gov website to enroll in the unconstitutional mandate, not the computers involved.) “When did you know there were going to be problems with those computers,” O’Reilly asks.

Obama casually responds that they anticipated that there were going to be glitches in the rollout, as there always are in any high-tech system, he just didn’t know the “degree” of the glitches. Well, that makes us all feel a lot better. For $634 million, the estimated cost paid to a Canadian tech company to put the website together, one would presume there should be no glitches. Further, intensive testing should have prevented that.

Trying to weasel his way out of the bad situation he finds himself in, Obama retorts that the “good news” is that they immediately figured out what they were going to do to fix the problem and in a month and a half’s time it’s running fine because three million people have signed up for it. Three million out of 310 million people in the United States seems like a fine proportion.

O’Reilly informs the president that an Associated Press poll shows that only 8% feel that it is working well. Oops. Why wasn’t Health and Human Services Secretary Kathleen Sebelius fired, since she had to have known it wasn’t going to work, O’Reilly asks.

Glibly, Obama states that his main priority is to make sure it delivers for the American people. Well, most of the American people want this entire law to go away. They don’t want to be burdened by an enormous bureaucracy telling them what they can and cannot have where their health is concerned. The federal government has no business coming between patients and their doctors. It does not belong in healthcare, period.

Refusing to answer the question and boasting of the non-accomplishments they’ve made, Obama continues with the tired theme of their objective of trying to improve the website and making sure that people can get better and more affordable healthcare. However, Obamacare is neither better nor more affordable than what we already had.

After being pressed about Sebelius not being held accountable, Obama assures O’Reilly that they’re “holding everybody up and down the line accountable.” But Sebelius has not been fired, thus, not held accountable. Why do I get the feeling that Sebelius will be held as accountable for the healthcare.gov mess as Attorney General Eric Holder was held accountable for the Fast and Furious scandal, or as former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton was held accountable for the murders of four Americans at the American Embassy in Libya?

“Was it the biggest mistake of your presidency to tell the nation over and over ‘if you like your insurance, you can keep your insurance,’” O’Reilly asked next. I was actually really proud of him for asking that. It’s a question that anyone from ABC, CBS, NBC or CNN would never think about asking. Obama admitted that it was something he regretted (although he makes excuses for saying it) and that he tries to focus not on the fumbles but on the next play. So, following his football analogy, when a team has an inordinate amount of fumbles, interceptions, missed tackles, etc., they usually lose the game.

When asked about Libya and whether or not Secretary of Defense Leon Panetta told Obama the incident was an act of terror, Obama again evaded the point of the question and gave his own answer. This was a yes or no question, but instead of answering yes or no, Obama took the familiar route of skating around the real issue. Which begs another question: What is Obama trying to hide?

Why this is so important is because the White House sent then U.N. Ambassador Susan Rice out on five different Sunday morning news shows to lie to the American people and tell them that this act of terror was a result of an anti-Islamic video some amateur wannabe filmmaker made and posted on youtube.com. Never mind no one had ever heard of him. And never mind no one in Libya even knew about such a video.

That Sunday, when this became an even bigger story, the White House and Obama knew they were busted, caught red-handed lying to the American people, and like they always do, scattered to find a way out of it. Much like the way Obama scattered to find a way out of O’Reilly’s questions by saying “when you look at the videotape of this whole thing unfolding, this is not some systematic, well-organized process.”

Um, excuse me. Heavy artillery used at an American embassy on the 11th anniversary of our nation’s most devastating terrorist attack was just an informal uprising? Are we to believe that there were troublemakers loitering outside our embassy who happened to run into some other troublemakers also loitering outside the embassy that day? And it was a coincidence that they had weapons that could blow up the embassy? Sounds like a well-organized process to me.

The final scandal O’Reilly hit Obama with was the IRS targeting TEA Party groups. The president doesn’t recall meeting with former IRS chief Douglas Shulman, although he was provided with clearance inside the White House 157 times. Obama claims his being there had to do with routine meetings about healthcare.gov and denies that it had anything at all to do with targeting certain groups. Why, they’ve had multiple hearings on it, says Obama. Mass corruption in the White House? There’s not even a smidgeon of corruption, he asserts.

Well, there you have it. That proves it. And we’re just supposed to take his word for it. As entertaining as that interview was, I thought Bruno Mars and Red Hot Chili Peppers were just a smidgeon better.
